Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine – Maryland

Many of the nation’s collectors and American history enthusiasts seek the added value of a pristine uncirculated quarter from each mint. As circulated quarters continue to be difficult to find, these collections will become a premium item. The Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine quarter is the fourth quarter of 2013.

The reverse depicts the site during the “Defenders Day” celebration, considered the centerpiece annual event held at Fort McHenry. The fireworks symbolize the “rocket’s red glare,” linking the fort to its historic past.
