This unique collectible pairs an uncirculated 2013 America the Beautiful quarter with a vintage unused U.S. postage stamp featuring Fort McHenry, creating a meaningful tribute to one of the most iconic sites in American history. Presented in a durable 4″ x 6″ hard acrylic display case, this set is perfect for coin collectors, history enthusiasts, and patriotic gift-givers.
A Tribute to Fort McHenry and American Resilience
Fort McHenry, located in Baltimore, Maryland, holds a revered place in U.S. history as the site that inspired the writing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the national anthem of the United States. During the War of 1812, American forces successfully defended the fort against a powerful British naval attack in September 1814. Witnessing the American flag still flying after the bombardment, Francis Scott Key was inspired to write the poem that later became the national anthem.
The inclusion of both a commemorative quarter and historical postage stamp in this set emphasizes Fort McHenry’s enduring significance as a symbol of strength, patriotism, and national identity.
Part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program
The 2013 Fort McHenry Quarter is part of the U.S. Mint’s highly popular America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, which ran from 2010 through 2021. This program honored 56 national parks and historic sites across all 50 states, U.S. territories, and Washington, D.C. Fort McHenry was selected as Maryland’s featured site and is notably the 19th coin released in the series.
The reverse design of the coin depicts the historic fort during the War of 1812, proudly displaying the American flag that became a powerful symbol of perseverance. The artwork captures the emotional and historical weight of that moment, making this coin a standout in the series.
Uncirculated Coin with Exceptional Detail
This set features an uncirculated 2013 Fort McHenry quarter, meaning it has never been used in everyday commerce. As a result, the coin retains its original mint luster, crisp details, and sharp imagery. Collectors prize uncirculated coins for their superior condition and long-term value, making this an excellent addition to any U.S. coin collection or America the Beautiful set.
Vintage Fort McHenry Postage Stamp
Complementing the coin is a vintage unused U.S. postage stamp depicting Fort McHenry. While the exact design may vary based on availability, each stamp reinforces the historical importance of the site and adds a unique philatelic element to the collection. Combining numismatics (coin collecting) with stamp collecting enhances the appeal of this set, making it a multi-dimensional collectible.
Informative and Eye-Catching Display
The coin and stamp are housed in a colorful, educational insert that highlights Fort McHenry’s history and significance. The display includes interesting facts, historical insights, and engaging visuals, making it ideal for both collectors and educators. Everything is securely encased in a protective acrylic holder, ensuring long-lasting preservation while allowing for easy display at home or in an office.

Excellent value for this product! Wonderful keepsake of our visit to National Parks. This site is one the only places we could find this set – they no longer have them at Fort McHenry.
