Pennsylvania Quarter

Pennsylvania became the 2nd state to enter the union on December 12, 1787. The 1999 Pennsylvania Quarter features an outline of the state, the state motto, a keystone, and the “Commonwealth” statue, a bronze 14′ 6″ female form which has topped the capital dome since 1905. The design was chosen to educate people about the founding principals of Pennsylvania.
