Apollo 11 Coin & Stamp Set
$19.95
The Eisenhower Dollar, first produced in 1971 and minted through 1978, was America’s first “space” coin. The reverse of the coin is an adaptation of the Apollo 11 insignia commemorating the landing of the first American man on the moon. The coin in this set was never in circulation. The First Man on the Moon issue was the first large size commemorative stamp. The master die to this stamp accompanied the astronauts all the way to the moon’s surface. The background is a fanciful composite of some of the most famous images from the first space walk.
