The Idaho Quarter has a dignified design. The bold image of a peregrine falcon overlooks the outline of this distinguished state. The inscription of the state motto, โEsto Perpetua,โ which means โmay it be forever,โ is appropriately paired with Idaho and one of the worldโs fastest birds, emerging from near extinction.

Hawaii quarter is the fiftieth and final State Quarter of 2008, and the 50th state to enter the Union. The Hawaii State Quarter shows the proud King Kamehameha I with his hand outstretched towards a depiction of the eight main islands of Hawaii. The inscription of the state motto, โThe Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness,โ is in Hawaiian. The design is representative of the unique geography of Hawaii, the diversity of the people and their exceptional culture.

The Guam quarter reverse design depicts the outline of the island, a flying proa (a seagoing craft built by the Chamorro people), and a latte stone (an architectural element used as the base of homes). The proa represents the endurance, fortitude and discovery of the Chamorro people. The vessel, made by expert carvers and sailed by master navigators, is admired as a technical marvel. The latte speaks to a historic icon that hails from the Micronesian area.
