The 2015 Native American $1 Coin design is based on the theme of "Mohawk high iron workers, builders of New York City and other skylines (from 1886)".
The obverse of these dollar coins features the image of Sacajawea and her infant son. The reverse (tails), which was designed by Ronald D. Sanders, depicts a Mohawk ironworker guiding an i-beam on a high-rise. In the background is a view of the city skyline.
