Oklahoma State Quarter Collection features one quarter each from the Denver (D) and Philadelphia (P) mints, double-plated with 24-karat gold. Oklahoma is the first State Quarter of 2008, and the 46th state to enter the Union. The Oklahoma State Quarter features several Indian blanket blooms in the foreground, backed by a field of similar wildflowers. Above the field is the Oklahoma state bird, the scissortail flycatcher, in flight with tail feathers spread. The coin also bears the inscriptions "Oklahoma" and "2008."
